The softball team delivered a decisive two-game sweep over Arlington High School this week in the 6A Division II area round held at Irving MacArthur High School.
Marcus (23-12) opened the series with a 5–0 shutout victory on Wednesday, then followed with a 9–1 win in Game 2 on Thursday. The Marauders await the winner of the Midland vs. Byron Nelson series for next weekend’s regional semifinals.
Senior Brianna Barr and freshman Brooke Wikse also homered for Marcus, combining for five RBIs. Freshman Madisynn Dunn and senior Bella Valdez combined on a three-hitter.
