Euless Trinity (20-8-2) vs. Hebron (23-6-2)
The baseball team, now winners of nine straight games, swept Pearce this past weekend in the 6A Division II playoffs at Dallas Baptist University, winning 5-2 on Thursday night and 9-3 on Friday night.
Senior Braden Gulick’s RBI double broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the 6th inning. The Marauders broke the game open with a 5-run 7th inning, highlighted by junior Cole Schott’s two-run triple.
The Marauders (23-11) will face Lubbock Frenship (29-9) at Abilene Christian University in round three this week. Game 1 is set for Thursday, May 14 at 3 p.m; Game 2 will be Friday May 15 at 6 p.m. with Game 3, if necessary, immediately afterwards.
With Denton Guyer being ousted by Dallas Jesuit this weekend in the area round, two other District 5-6A schools remain in the 6A (Division I) playoffs, district champion Hebron and third place Flower Mound. Game dates, times and locations for those schools are listed below.
