The Marauder baseball team – now on a 13-game winning streak – continued its remarkable run through the playoffs with a two-game sweep of Dallas Jesuit last weekend at Dallas Baptist University’s Horner Ballpark.

Marcus (27-10) carved out one-run victories in both games, winning Game 1, 5-4, and Game 2, 3-2.

For the second season in a row, the Marauders advance to the state semifinal to face undefeated Tomball. The series will be held at Lake Belton High School:  Thursday, May 28 – 7:30 pm; Friday, May 29 – 7:30 pm at Lake Belton HS; if necessary, Saturday, May 30 – 12:00 pm.

Regional Semi-Final Round Report

The baseball team, now winners of 11 straight games, swept Wolfforth Frenship in the regional semi-finals round of the 6A Division II playoffs at at Abilene Christian University, winning 9-8 on Thursday night and 8-6 on Friday night.

The Marauders will play Dallas Jesuit (30-7-2) in a three-game series at Dallas Baptist University set to begin Thursday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m. Game 2 will be 6 p.m. Friday, May 22. If necessary, Game 3 will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23.

The Rangers, 14-0 district champions of 7-6A , swept Midland in their regional semi-final playoff series, also at ACU, winning 10-2 and 3-2. Like Marcus, Jesuit is unbeaten in the playoffs, sweeping Arlington Lamar in b-district and Denton Guyer in the area round.
