Creative Halloween costume ideas

Creative+Halloween+costume+ideas

If you’re looking to be more creative this Halloween while spending less, fear no more. Now you can make your own costume with these frugal and trendy ideas for your next party this fall.

Miss Congeniality/Miss America costume – Now is your chance to prove your mom wrong when she said that you would never wear your prom dress again. Just pull out last year’s prom dress, your tiara from dress-up in grade school, a piece of red ribbon and some stickers to spell out your official title, and you’re good to go.

Mad scientist –  Use a lab coat or white apron as the basis for this costume. To make your hair look extra crazy, avoid showering or brushing your hair for a few days. Then, grab some old glasses to add to your Einstein aura. Underneath the lab coat, wear an outfit of just one simple solid color, like black. To finish the outfit, wear some funky shoes like Chacos or Converse.

Sandy from Grease – Girls, head over to Forever 21 and buy some black, high-waisted leather pants to add to your wardrobe. Aside from the fact that you can wear these pants after Halloween, they work perfectly for a Sandy Olsen costume.  Add hoop earrings, a voluptuous hairstyle, red pumps and red lipstick, and you’re all set.

Double rainbow – This partner costume requires almost no effort at all. Just coordinate your outfit with different colors of the rainbow. For example, one could wear an orange shirt, green socks, blue shorts, red shoes and purple accessories. Your partner can wear all different colors too, and voilà – a double rainbow!
